Overview

The data presented here refers to the number of organs required for transplant, categorised by organ type. These figures differ slightly from the number of people on the waiting list, as some patients may be waiting for more than one organ.

The figures represent the number of organs that would be transplanted immediately if suitable organs were available at the time of reporting. This snapshot does not capture movements onto or off the waiting list since the last reporting period, nor does it reflect the outcomes of patients who were not transplanted.

All data are supplied by OrganMatch. More detailed analyses of waiting list dynamics can be found in the ANZOD Annual Report and in the reports of the various outcome registries.
