Pregnancy and Kidney Research Australia
Overview
Pregnancy Kidney Research Australia (PKRA), formerly known as the ANZDATA Parenthood Research Group, focuses on improving care and outcomes for people with kidney disease who are planning for or experiencing pregnancy.
Established by Professor Shilpa Jesudason (Program Lead) and Dr Erandi Hewawasam (former Program Manager), PKRA brings together clinicians, researchers, and consumers to better understand the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood in the context of kidney disease. The group’s research aims to help people make informed choices about parenthood, receive the right care at every stage, and achieve the best possible pregnancy outcomes.
